Requires an understanding of chemical dependency treatment programs
and philosophy. Must have a working knowledge of alcoholism, drug
abuse and dual diagnoses. Responsible for maintaining a systematic
means of ascertaining that patients are safe, participating in the
program and following the facility behavior model for patients.
Monitor adolescent patients by observing them. Supervise patients
throughout scheduled shift. Inventory patient possessions as
necessary. Provide orientation to new patients. Provide therapeutic
listening and guidance as required, including facilitating groups.
Education: High School graduate or GED required.
Experience working with chemically dependent population, preferred.
Ability to work with male and female adolescents (13-17) DOJ
Background Clearance Required. Current Driver's License. |
