Sales Engineer Position
Summary:
The Sales Engineer will conduct sales related activities for an
accomplished capital equipment manufacturing company. This position
is responsible for a wide range of customer focused activities both
inside and outside the company. The Sales Engineer will utilize
communication skills and a technical understanding of a variety of
electronic component and photovoltaic solar cell manufacturing
processes to specify and market company equipment to customers
worldwide.
Job Duties:
•Compose and provide technical presentations about company equipment
to customers worldwide.
•Participate in company trade-show booth for a variety of equipment
related trade-shows.
•Create and maintain relationships with customers worldwide.
•Compose and implement advertising, technical brochures, press
releases, and website information.
•Interpret and respond to customer technical specifications and
commercial terms relative to company capabilities and requirements.
•Compose and issue formal quotations in response to customer
inquiries.
•Compose technical equipment specifications with engineering and
manufacturing input in response to customer inquiries.
•Monitor status of equipment manufacture and testing with the goal of
insuring adherence to customer requirements.
•Coordinate and conduct activities during customer visits to company
facility.
Must be willing/able to:
•Travel approximately 25% worldwide
•Study, understand, and explain process and product technical
information
•Communicate diplomatically, effectively, and promptly in writing and
orally with customers and sales representatives worldwide
•Collaborate effectively with company engineering and manufacturing
staff to meet sometimes extensive customer requests and
requirements.
•Independently and consistently seek and perform activities which
contribute to company sales success
•Take a well-organized approach to multiple, complex, concurrent
tasks
Required Background:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering
•3+ years of sales experience
Desirable Qualifications:
•Experience with photovoltaic cell processing industry
•International travel experience
