Electronic Health Record Support

Description:

We are currently seeking a person to administer and support clinical 
information systems in Santa Cruz. This position will work with the 
computer support department, vendors and stakeholders to improve the 
daily operations of the system in order to streamline the delivery 
of health care data to providers and their Electronic Medical 
Records.

This position will provide end user support by identifying workflow 
changes or enhancements facilitating the flow of standards based 
data.

Job duties include communicating effectively verbally and in writing 
among technical staff, clinical staff, physicians and management.  
This person will prepare written documentation and diagrams 
describing the workflow and information flow related to the clinical 
information system.  

 Minimum Skills Required: 
•Minimum three years experience with clinical information systems
•General knowledge of HL7 and interpretation of proprietary data 
formats.
•General knowledge of codes and standards such as CPT-4 and ICD-9. 
•Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate 
with users and vendors 
•Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and 
exceptional customer service
•Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, detailed-orientated, 
dependable and flexible
•Proficient with personal computer based productivity tools –MS 
Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.  Also some familiarity with  
process documentation tool such as Visio, Smart Draw, etc. 
•Valid driver's license and proof of insurance 
•Background check required
•Reliable transportation
