Sustainable Transportation Program Specialist
Position: Program Specialist
Status: Full-time 40 hr/week, NONEXEMPT per FLSA Standards
Reports to: Transportation Program Director
Direct reports: Program Assistant and volunteers
Summary
Ecology Action, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is seeking a
Program Specialist to join our Transportation Team to work on
several of its core programs. The main focus will be the Car Share
Partnership, Bike to Work, and Go Green Cabrillo College programs.
The Program Specialist will be responsible for implementing a suite
of programs to promote increased sustainable transportation and
convert drive alone trips to sustainable modes of travel.
Ecology Action seeks a team oriented, talented, energetic, flexible
and organized individual to fill the Program Specialist position.
The successful candidate must have prior program management
experience; planned and implemented programs; produced and
maintained program budgets.
Required Qualifications
· Undergraduate college degree in the area of Environmental
Studies, Physical Sciences, Natural Resources, Community Studies,
Biological Science, Social Marketing, Business, Education,
Communications, or related field.
· Excellent and professional; communication, coordination and
organization skills a must.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word programs, database program
experience, and e-mail tools a must.
· Managerial experience (staff and volunteers), excellent time
management skills and the ability to multi-task required.
· Five or more years intern, educational, or professional
experience (or combination thereof) in the area of environmental
or community program implementation, business, or related field.
· Ability to produce budgets, manage budgets, and follow budget
guidelines.
· Grant and contract management, project management skills and
experience required.
· Event planning and implementation
· Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
· Highly organized and detail oriented
Compensation: The anticipated compensation range for this position
is $45,760 to $59,488 annually (non-exempt), 90% of which is paid
hourly and 10% of which is paid quarterly provided that the employee
does a good solid job. The position is also eligible for an
additional annual performance incentive of up to 5%. This is a full-
time position at 40 hours per week.
